The Rainbow Resources podcast is YOUR guide to the many resources that the greater Dayton area has to offer the LGBTQIA+ and allied community. The Miami Valley has been described as "resource rich but access poor," and this podcast seeks to solve that problem. About Jordan
Jordan Ostrum (he/him), Community Impact Specialist
Jordan is a fifth-generation non-Native resident of Wyoming—the ancestral lands of the Cheyenne and Arapaho nations. He proudly claims Dayton, Ohio as his new home. The Advocate, the nation's largest and oldest LGBT magazine, named him Wyoming Champion of Pride in 2018. He has been cited by Canadian researchers for his work on the gender dynamics of Greek Letter Organizations, and presented on the topic of trans/ness and archives at the inaugural Trans* Research Association of Ireland at the University College Dublin in 2024. Jordan is currently working on an essay that explores JK Rowling’s transphobic turn, to be published by Litwin Press in 2026 in the edited collection Potions, Powers, and Prejudice: Reassessing Harry Potter. He proudly provides LGBTQIA+ programming and services full-time for the Dayton Metro Library system.
