DML Board Releases Executive Director Jeffrey Trzeciak

Deputy Executive Director to Step into Role on Interim Basis

In a special meeting today, the Dayton Metro Library Board of Trustees voted unanimously to release Executive Director Jeffrey Trzeciak from his position, effective immediately.

In related action, the Board has appointed Rachel Gut, Dayton Metro Library’s current Deputy Executive Director, to serve as interim Executive Director during the transition. A longtime leader within Dayton Metro Library, Gut brings deep institutional knowledge, steady leadership and a strong understanding of the organization’s mission, operations and service to the community.

The Board of Trustees will begin the process of determining next steps for the leadership transition. In the meantime, Dayton Metro Library remains focused on serving patrons, supporting staff and continuing the work underway across the library system.
