DML Introduces SHE-Roe Speaker Series

ayton Metro Library is hosting a new speaker’s series beginning in June: the SHE-Roe Speaker Series. The first session will be held at the Trotwood Branch, Saturday, June 10, from 2-4 pm.

This program will feature Dayton area women of color coming together to share their stories. The women selected as part of this series are selected based on their dedication to area communities. The 2023 SHE-Roe speakers are: DeShona Pepper Robertson (art), Whitney Barkley (business), Michelle Littlejohn (education), Shiron Jones (health and wellness), Shenise Turner-Sloss (social justice), and Elizabeth Ball (spirituality).

The SHE-Roe Speaker Series, which began in 2017 by Juanita Darden who hosted it at her downtown business Third Perk, has now expanded to DML.

Registration is not required. Sessions will continue to run once a month at various Branch locations through November.
