DML Hosts Kettering Health Programs

 

Dayton Metro Library will host a series of health and wellness programs at several Branches in August. Speakers and topics will vary, and the programs are geared for adults and lifelong learners.

Vandalia Branch Library:
Kettering Health Speaker Series: Information for Older Adults
Topic: Gracefully Aging in Place. Advanced registration is required.
Tuesday, August 2, 11 am-12 pm

Trotwood Branch Library:
Senior Fitness - Chair Yoga
Learn how to stretch muscles in this follow-along class that offers both chair and floor formats.
Thursday, August 4, 10 - 11:30 am

Kettering-Moraine Branch Library:
Keeping Your Heart Healthy
Obtain information about vascular disease and how to manage cholesterol and blood pressure. Advanced registration is required.
Saturday, August 6, 2 - 3 pm

Miamisburg Branch Library:
Balance 101: Kettering Health
Therapists from the NeuroRehab and Balance Center and a Trauma Injury Prevention Specialist will address safety concerns about common risk factors for falls and how to keep safe.
Saturday, August 20, 11 am - 12 pm

Stop the Bleed: Kettering Health
This program will teach how bystanders can stop uncontrolled bleeding until help arrives.
Monday, August 22, 6:30 - 7:30 pm

Quick and Healthy Meals
Learn how to plan cost-saving meals and snacks.
