Novel Swap at the Dayton Metro Library

You bought a book and read it - now what do you do with it? Swap it! Four branches of the Dayton Metro Library are hosting a Novel Swap on Saturday, July 26, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Bring at least one gently used book as the price of admission, and take others home with you. Swappers will receive discount coupons for use at the Friends of the Library Fall Booksale, October 3-5, 2014, and will be entered into a drawing for a canvas tote, coffee mug and key chain to be awarded at each location.

"We know there's nothing more fun that talking about favorite books - except maybe finding a new favorite among those your friends and neighbors have donated," said Mimi Morris, Assistant Director for Branch and Extension Services. "Novel Swap is an easy and fun event that helps clean out bookshelves of unwanted books that can gain new life in another home, and gives swappers a chance to find a special reading treasure to enjoy in the dog days of summer."

This is the fourth year for Novel Swap, which has expanded from one location to four.

"One year, a man drove to all Novel Swap locations because he didn't want to miss anything," said Morris. "People have come early in the morning but rationed their donations to return before the end, so they can see what else has come in!

Novel Swap takes place Saturday, July 26, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at these Dayton Metro Library locations:
