Dayton Metro Library's Recent Hires Focus on External Relations

The Dayton Metro Library has recently filled three positions focusing on External Relations.

diane Diane Farrell came to the DML in October, 2013, to serve as Director of Development and External Relations. Previously she served as Vice President of External Relations at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery where she oversaw marketing, fundraising, guest services, membership, volunteerism and technology. In her newly-created position with DML, Ms. Farrell will work to strengthen strategic partnerships throughout the community and to develop the membership and resources for as part of the Dayton Metro Library Foundation.



 Chuck Duritsch became the library's Manager of External Relations in January, 2014. Previously he was Marketing Director for Dayton Opera for four years and Media and Communication Manager when the Opera merged with Dayton Ballet and Dayton Philharmonic to form the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance in July 2012. He will be working to advance communication and public relations as DML begins construction on its 17 Libraries for a Smarter Future and to provide consistent branding for all DML branches.



 Jayne Klose was named Community Engagement Manager in February 2014, after having served as a communications consultant for the library's facilities process and as the campaign manager for Citizens for Good Libraries. She will be responsible for outreach efforts for the system-wide facilities upgrade and new programming partnerships. Previously she was Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications for United Way of the Greater Dayton Area.
