This series of three classes, based on curriculum from the Foundation Center, provides a detailed introduction to grants for nonprofits.
Grant Seeking Basics: Tuesday, March 18, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
This first class in the series will help you ensure that your organization is ready to apply for grants. We will explore the different types of grants and learn how to find and evaluate grant opportunities.
Grant Proposal Writing Basics: Tuesday, March 25, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
This second class in the series covers each part of the grant proposal. We will exchange tips on writing, packaging and submitting a grant proposal.
Introduction to Finding Funders (in the laptop lab): Tuesday, April 1, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
In this hands-on computer class, learn to find grantmaking foundations with the Foundation Center's comprehensive funding research tool, Foundation Directory Online Professional, and other web resources. We meet in the Main Library Laptop Lab.
