He teaches at the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Case Western Reserve University, where he received the 2010 Mandel Center Teaching Award. He writes a regular column for the Nonprofit Quarterly called “Dr. Conflict,” and served for fifteen seasons as president of the Victoria Theatre Association.
