The African American Community Fund at The Dayton Foundation contains over 70 funds that support the African American citizens of Dayton. Founding member Lloyd E. Lewis, Jr., stated: "We are people from all over the map: churches, nonprofit organizations, and individuals. AACF is an idea whose time has come. I'm a believer that we African-Americans can do this ourselves."
The Fund is accepting grant applications from qualified 501c3 organizations that benefit African American citizens. Letters of Intent are due by May 31, 2010. For details visit http://www.daytonfoundation.org/aacf.html |

I am with the Dunbar Wee Wolverines Youth Football and Cheer Organization. We are seeking assistance for our upcoming season, which begins in July 2011. Could you please forward some information to me as to how we could apply for funds?
Thank you.
