Teens who are considering college in their future will want to attend a free College Fair at the downtown Dayton Metro Library on Tuesday, September 10. The free event takes place 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Main Library Bassani Theater, 215 E. Third Street.
Thirty different organizations will be represented at the College Fair, including public and private colleges, technical schools, and several branches of the military.*
“Teens can ask questions about different areas of study, facilities, the admissions process, and financial aid options, all in one spot,” said Steve Moser, Teen Services Coordinator for the Library.
The Library is also providing an opportunity for teens to practice the SAT and ACT tests on Saturday, September 14. The SAT Practice Test will be offered 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., and the ACT Practice Test will be offered 2:00-5:30 p.m. in the Main Library’s Community Room. Students should register in advance and bring their own pencils and calculators. Tests will be proctored by Library staff.
“Taking the practice test is great preparation for the real thing,” said Moser. “Students will learn which areas they might need more work on, and which areas they can feel confident about.”
