Site Selected for New Trotwood Branch Library

News Conference Scheduled for October 30

Officials representing Dayton Metro Library and the city of Trotwood will hold a news conference on Monday, October 30, to announce the site of the new Trotwood Branch Library. The news conference begins at 10:30 a.m. at property, located at the northeast corner of E. Main Street and McGregor Drive.

The new facility, designed by Ruetschle Architects, will be approximately 12,000 square feet; Shook Construction is the Construction Manager. Design work will begin in November and construction will begin by the end of 2018. The new Trotwood Branch Library is anticipated to open in late 2019.

Public forums will be scheduled to gather input on design elements and desired amenities.

This project is part of the Dayton Metro Library’s Libraries for a Smarter Future system wide facilities improvement project, made possible by a $187 million bond issue approved by Montgomery County voters in 2012.
