Kettering-Moraine Branch Grand Re-Opening October 17

 

grandreopeningTravelers along Far Hills Avenue between Dorothy Lane and Stroop Road have been able to watch the changes taking place at the Dayton Metro Library’s Kettering-Moraine Branch over the past several months. Now the newly remodeled, expanded Library is ready for a Grand Re-Opening Celebration on Monday, October 17, 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. Meteorologist and Kettering resident Jamie Jarosik will emcee the ribbon cutting ceremony. Visitors can tour the facility, meet Library mascots Cosmo and Pip, see tech demonstrations, and enjoy music and refreshments from local Kettering businesses. The acclaimed a cappella group Eleventh Hour will perform.

The Library resumes regular operating hours on Tuesday, October 18, 9:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m.

The extensively remodeled Library features a flexible Community Room (accessible before and after Library hours) equipped with professional-grade sound system and ceiling-mounted projectors. Parking is accessible through an improved entrance/exit driveway on Far Hills Avenue.

“We can’t wait and get back to work, see our patrons and show them their beautiful new Library,” said Teresa Huntley, Manager of the Kettering-Moraine Branch. “People will love the changes, all the new technology and improved spaces. It’s exciting to be back!”
