It may look like simple doodling, but the Zentangle Method is actually a structured way to create beautiful black and white drawings. Practitioners of Zentangle say it is relaxing, improves focus and encourages creativity. Best of all, anyone can learn it, regardless of artistic skill or experience.
“Learn the Art of Zentangle” is a free, introductory workshop offered at several branches of the Dayton Metro Library this fall. All supplies will be provided.
“If you love art and appreciate the beauty of the pen, Zentangle is just what you need, even if you’ve never been successful at drawing or feel you can’t compete with Picasso,” said Jennifer Spillman, chair of the Library’s Programming Committee. “Anyone, at any age, can successfully master a beautiful, small work of art and learn a new form of artistic meditation with Zentangle.”
