New Brookville Branch Library Sneak Peek & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

TIME: 2:00-6:00 p.m.

LOCATION: 120 Blue Pride Drive, Brookville OH

Dayton Metro Library’s Brookville Branch opens in a new 12,000 square foot facility near Brookville High School on Blue Pride Drive. Visitors can tour the new facility, meet Library mascots Cosmo and Pip, see tech demonstrations and enjoy music and refreshments. Artist Darren Kall will begin work on his art installation in the Library’s meeting room, which he will continue to work on daily through August 26.

The new Library features:

  • A Quiet Reading Room
  • “Minds In Motion” themed Children’s area
  • TeenEDGE area with dedicated gaming system
  • New technology including mobile audio equipment, editing software and in-Library laptop lending
  • Flexible Community Room, accessible outside of Library hours
  • Two 4-person Quads and one 6-person Group Study room
  • Plentiful, lit parking and outdoor patio
  • Three new, original art installations in addition to Kall’s artwork on site

Regular hours begin Tuesday, August 23, 9:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. with continued operating hours the same as all Dayton Metro Library locations:

9:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
