The Miami Township Branch of the Dayton Metro Library celebrates National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2, 6:00-8:00 p.m. The Library joins with the Miami Township Police and Fire Departments for this national community-building campaign. There will be games and giveaways for all ages, plus police and fire vehicles children can explore up close. Food will be provided by Skyline Chili. All activities are free at the Library, located at 2718 Lyons Road.
Communities in all 50 states participate in National Night Out, which promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
“The goal is to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live,” said Cheryl Wirtley, Manager of the Miami Township Branch Library. “We’re proud to participate, and to bring together our police and the residents they serve in a friendly, fun atmosphere.”
