Kids Learn what it's like to be an Astronaut

Free Armstrong Air & Space Museum Programs


airWhat’s it like to be an astronaut? Children will learn all about it during free Astronaut Training programs this summer at many Dayton Metro Library locations. Presenters from the Armstrong Air & Space Museum lead the free programs.

“Kids will learn how astronauts train for a mission, see a real space suit up close and determine how fit they would be for space travel themselves,” said Tish Wilson, Assistant Director, Youth Services. “The programs include hands-on experiments and activities, incorporating science and technology lessons into fun, active experiences.”

The programs (some geared toward teens and tweens) take place June 6 through July 28 at the following Branch Libraries:
