Northwest Branch Library | 2410 Philadelphia Drive:
Funk Music Hall of Fame Exhibit
April 23 - December 31, 2016
“The new Opportunity Spaces at the Miami Township, Northwest and the Main Library, which is currently under construction, allow us to host fascinating exhibits, artists-in-residence and interactive programs that our older, outdated buildings could not accommodate,” said Jayne Klose, Community Engagement Manager for the Library. “These are among the many amenities the community will enjoy, thanks to their support of the bond issue funding our major facilities improvement projects.”
Exhibits this summer include “Money $marts,” an interactive display to encourage youth to be smart money managers, sewing and textiles with the Ohio University Extension Service, painting with artist-in-residence Mike Elsass and Virtual Reality STEM programming provided by Global Discovery Lab.
The new Northwest Branch Library will open its doors to the public on April 23. The Miami Township Branch remodeling and expansion was completed in November, 2015.
Exhibits and programs are FREE. Funk Music Hall of Fame Exhibit hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | 9:30 AM-8:30 PM
Wednesday, Friday, Saturday | 9:30 AM-6 PM
