Transformation: A Business Mixer at the New Miami Township Branch Library

Business leaders are invited to an after-hours event at the Miami Township Branch Library, presented by the South Metro Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Dayton Metro Library Foundation. This free “speed learning” and networking opportunity takes place on Wednesday, March 23, 5:20-7:00 p.m. at the newly remodeled Library, located at 2718 Lyons Road.

“This will be a lively, fun evening all about transformation,” Julia Maxton, President of the South Metro Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Participants will gain a lot of information in a short period of time, network with each other, learn from experts and enjoy wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres in the setting of a beautiful new community resource.”

Participants can choose from among five speed learning sessions with experts who will share two or three tips that can be put into practice immediately for positive impact in 2016. Each presentation lasts just five minutes, with ten minutes for Q&A:

logosSpeed Learning Session Descriptions:

  • Maggie Varga, Chief Operating Officer at SOCHE, shares tips on transforming your workplace with innovative methods to identify, hire, train and retain talent. Get tips on creating a cohesive and effective environment, especially in this age of differing work styles between boomer bosses and millennial staffers.
  • Sadu Shetty, Past-President of the Project Management Institute, Co-Chair of the Project Management Summit and adjunct advisor at BTL Global Institute, offers insights into transforming your thoughts on organizational leadership and project management.
  • Ann Riegle-Crichton, Dayton Metro Library Business Services Librarian, explains how even small shops can access “big data” affordably, and transform that data into action.

  • Todd Korab, Google Search Specialist from Cox Digital Marketing, helps transform your online marketing to ensure that your company is maximizing opportunities on Google.

“The newly remodeled Miami Township Branch Library embodies our theme of transformation,” said Holley Thompson of the Dayton Metro Library Foundation. “The building was recently transformed into a state-of-the-art community resource. The Library will be closed to the public during our event, but staff will be on hand to demonstrate new technology and services to our guests.”
