Many people are faced with difficult health decisions when a serious medical diagnosis an unexpected accident occurs. "Leaving a Legacy of Love" is a four-part program series that offers expert guidance through the discussions and decisions that can be made in advance. The free programs take place Thursdays, 6:00-8:00 p.m. April 23-May 14 at the Kettering-Moraine Branch of the Dayton Metro Library, 3496 Far Hills Avenue in Kettering.
Two retired hospice nurses lead series, with presenters including a grief counselor, attorney, funeral director and hospice/palliative care physician.
"Talking about end-of-life issues with family is difficult, but so important," said Teresa Huntley, manager of the Kettering-Moraine Branch Library. "Planning in advance and being open about preferences can help avoid some of the stress later on."
