Are you in your 20s or 30s and looking for love? Do you judge people by their book covers? Literary Speed Dating is for you! Check someone out at the Dayton Metro Library's Literary Speed Dating event on Thursday, April 16, 6:00-8:00 p.m. The fun, free event takes place at the Main Library, 215 E. Third Street in Dayton.
"Bring a favorite book as an icebreaker and pick a literary pseudonym for the evening," said Jennifer Spillman, Manager of Adult Services at the Library. "This will be a lively, unique way to mix and mingle with people who love books."
This program is part of the Big Read community reading program, which encourages area residents to read and talk about the same book. This year's book is The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion.
"A fun event which brings people together is perfect for the Big Read because this book deals with the challenges of finding love in such a lighthearted way," said Spillman.
