Are you mad for Mad Men? Celebrate the 1960s as portrayed in the television series Mad Men when the Wilmington-Stroop Branch of the Dayton Metro Library hosts a Mad Men Party, Monday, April 13, 6:30 p.m. The free event takes place at the Library located at 3980 Wilmington Pike in Kettering.
The Party features a distinct 1960s atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to dress in Mad Men-style fashion and enjoy mocktails and snacks popularized in the 1960s such as onion dip, Ritz crackers and bundt cake. Hafenbrack Marketing will be on hand to talk about the advertising scene in Dayton at the time.
This is the final season for the popular television drama, which has been on the air since 2007.
"I expect that people who follow this show will enjoy talking to other fans," said Sandy Prell, Assistant Manager of the Wilmington-Stroop Branch Library. "The first two episodes of the season will have aired, so there should be a lot to talk about."
The Party is free but advance registration is required. Register using the online calendar at DaytonMetroLibrary.org or call the Wilmington-Stroop Branch Library at 937-463-BOOK.
