(March 11, 2015) – Finding love can be a challenge, especially for those who have been hurt in the past. Inspirational speaker Cynthia Belmer offers personal growth and relationship advice in her program "Daring to Love: A Path to Healing, Growth and New Love," on Saturday, April 4, 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Huber Heights Branch of the Dayton Metro Library, 6160 Chambersburg Road. The program is free.
"This workshop will help you change the story of your past hurts and overcome the barriers that are keeping you from finding lasting love," said Belmer. "I believe that you have the courage to open your heart and change the story you have about yourself, your past, love and marriage to a new one that will serve you."
Belmer's book Meeting Freedom: How I Let Go of Who I Thought I Should Be and Revealed My Authentic, Unstoppable Self is both a personal story of her own dramatic life transformations and a coaching guide for others.
This program is among many relationship and communication-themed programs offered by the Dayton Metro Library in conjunction with the Big Read. This year's Big Read book is The Rosie Project, by Graeme Simsion, a lighthearted look at love, connections and the difficulty of overcoming differences.
