Trotwood Branch Library Program - Honors Great Women in Black History Month


To celebrate Black History Month, the Trotwood Branch of the Dayton Metro Library hosts Karen D. Brame El-Amin, who presents "Who's That Lady: Honoring Great Black She-Roes for Black History Month." This free program takes place Saturday, February 28, 11:00 a.m. at the Library, located at 651 E. Main Street in Trotwood.

Brame El-Amin is an Adjunct Professor of Education and History at Sinclair Community College. She'll discuss the origin of Black History Month and its founder, Dr. Carter G. Woodson. She'll focus on black women who are often underrepresented in the celebration of Black History. Questions and comments are welcome.
