If you or someone you know has resolved to pass the high school equivalency test, the Dayton Metro Library can help. The Main Library will offer free GED Classes in two sessions: January 12 through February 27, and March 2 through April 24, 2015. Classes take place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Computer Lab on the Library's second floor, 215 E. Third Street, downtown. The classes are free but advance registration is required.
"We are happy to partner with the Miami Valley Career Technology Center to offer these classes," said Jennifer Spillman, Manager of Adult Services at the Library. "It's a service we believe will genuinely help people who want to achieve their personal and professional goals."
Classes offer instruction and practice in reading, writing, math and critical thinking skills that form the foundation for GED success.
The deadline to register for the first session is January 11, 2015. The registration deadline for the second session is March 1, 2015. For more information or to register, contact the Miami Valley Career Technology Center ABLE, GED Program at 937-854-6287 or register online using the Library's Events Calendar at DaytonMetroLibrary.org.
