Donate Toys for Tots at Dayton Metro Library Locations

The Dayton Metro Library provides books, programs and many educational services to children in our community. As the holidays draw near, the Library wants to help provide toys to children in our area as well. The Dayton Metro Library will once again participate in the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign.

Many Dayton Metro Libraries are collection sites for Toys for Tots donations. Collection barrels will be out November 15 through December 13 at the following branch libraries:

Belmont, Brookville, Burkhardt, Dayton View, Electra Doren, Huber Heights, Kettering-Moraine, Miami Twp., Northmont, Northtown-Shiloh, Vandalia, West Carrollton, Wilmington-Stroop and the Main Library.

"Toys for Tots is a well-established and respected charitable campaign and we are proud to be part of it," said Chuck Duritsch, Manager of the External Relations Department. "Our Libraries are partners and active participants in the communities we serve. This is one small way we can help to make a difference."

In 2013, the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program collected and distributed more than 67,000 toys to approximately 16,000 children in Western Ohio.

Toys for Tots donations should be new, unwrapped toys. For more information, visit or call the Library at 937-463-2665.
