When you can't find a book, CD or DVD in the Dayton Metro Library catalog, try searching the Ohio Libraries Share - MORE service. Ohio Libraries Share - MORE is a state-wide service provided by the State Library of Ohio. The service allows patrons to request materials that belong to other participating public libraries in Ohio and have them delivered to your local library for borrowing.
Dayton Metro Library patrons can use the Ohio Libraries Share - MORE service and place up to 50 requests. Requests for newer releases (less than 1 year old), items owned by the Dayton Metro Library, and items needed quickly are typically outside of the Ohio Libraries Share - MORE service. Requests for items that are available, on order, or reservable in the Dayton Metro Library catalog will not be honored. Instead, Dayton Metro Library patrons are encouraged to place requests on Dayton Metro Library owned materials.
If you have additional questions, please contact the Library at 496-8905 or email us. How to Use Ohio Libraries Share - MORE

One Search is an online research tool, powered by Webfeat, that allows you to search many of the library's licensed database products at one time. The tool includes nearly all the subscription databases that the library offers both in house and remotely.
Some databases like LearnATest rely on a browsing interface where there is no search function. Databases like this cannot be integrated into WebFeat's DML One Search interface and cannot be included. Direct access to all electronic resource databases is available by selecting databases individually from the alphabetical listing page as well the subject pages.
Since DML One Search pulls results from multiple databases at the same time, the database that returns the results fastest for that particular search will appear at the top. This will vary from one DML One Search search to the next.
There is no perfect method for exact phrase searching in DML One Search since different databases have different parameters. However, using "Quotation Marks" around your search term will help limit most results to exact phrase.
On the entry page, click on the appropriate subject listing, then you may search all of the selected database at once by clicking the Select/Deselect All box, or you may customize your search by selecting one or more of the listed resources.
Underneath the DML One Search quick search option, there are links for subject groupings or an alphabetical listing of all the databases. In both listings there are individual links to use to go directly to the database without using the DML One Search search.
The number of results that appear under each database heading is governed by the individual database itself. Some databases may show 10 results, other 25, etc. However, you can always get to the next results set by clicking on "Next Set".
If you are using DML One Search inside one of our locations you do not need to enter your DML library card number. If you are using DML One Search from your school, home or office you need to enter your DML library card number because our license agreements with the database vendors require that these products are for DML card holders. There are exceptions, you do not need to enter your library card number to view the online catalog, the Dayton Metro Library Local Newspaper Index and the Dayton Obituary Index.
To view results in One Search it is recommended that you use Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater. If you are unable to view results from DML One Search, you can search the database product directly and still get results.
Look for information at the end of the article, such as copyright. When you have printed your article or you are finished viewing it, close it to return to the results list. Find the title of the article/image you were viewing (it might still be highlighted), and see what database the results are listed under.
