Staff - Branch Highlight

The Belmont Branch has a dedicated staff of 11 full and part-time individuals whose work and passion for libraries shines through in all that they do. The team at the Belmont Branch is determined to consistently provide the best customer experience possible.

Community Connection

The Belmont Branch serves the community in many ways. Young children benefit from the outreach of the Children's Librarian offering book talks and read alouds at Greenmont Elementary, Eastmont Elementary, Rainbow Years, Headstart at Immaculate Conception, Horace Mann Elementary and other preschools and daycares. Adults benefit from Take It & Read locations throughout the neighborhood. As a partner for the development of the community, Belmont Branch serves as a donation location for Toys for Tots and the Foodbank.

Dayton Metro Library has an agreement with Dayton Public Schools to purchase land at the corner of Wayne and Watervliet Avenues next to Belmont High School which was selected for its central location between the current Belmont and East Branches. Design work on the spacious new Southeast Branch will begin this fall and completion is slated by the end of 2018.
