| Learning Express Library, a database that you can use through the library's website, has recently announced that they have new tutorials available for Microsoft Excel 2010, Word 2010, and Outlook 2010. To get to the database, click on the "Research & Databases" link in the menu on the left side of the library's website. From the next screen, choose "One Search and Research Databases." Once you are on the One Search screen, scroll down to the alphabetical list of databases and click on "Learning Express Library." If you are logging in from outside the library, you will need to enter your zip code before you can enter the database. For this database, you will want to create your own personal login so that it can track the tests and tutorials you have taken. To get to the Microsoft products tutorials, click on the "Computer Skills" learning center. This area provides several tutorials in Microsoft products for PCs and Macs, as well as a couple of Adobe products. The tutorials also cover the 2003 and 2007 versions of Microsoft Office products for Windows, and some of them cover the 2008 version for Macintosh, so they can be very helpful when you are first familiarizing yourself with them or updating your skills to become familiar with a different version. |
