In 1808, an act of legislature empowered Daniel C. Cooper to amend the original plat of Dayton and set apart 10 in lots of land as the "˜commons', as they called it, for the use of the citizens. In 1838, the "˜public square' as the park was then called, was planted with fine forest trees and looked on as "˜an ornament to the town'. 55+ Unwind and Create

Relax with friends while painting your own masterpiece. We'll take you step by step through the process so all skill levels are comfortable. Take home a finished acrylic peacock painting when you're done.

Sugar Skull Mugs

Paint a traditional Day of the Dead Sugar Skull mug with the Clay Café. We'll fire your mug for you and bring it back to the Library for later pick up.
