Patterns

Recognizing patterns and learning how they are made are concepts that are valuable for preschoolers to learn.  Ohio’s Early Learning and Development standards state that preschool children should learn to “recognize, duplicate and extend simple patterns using attributes such as color, shape or size” as well as create their own patterns.  The following books might help you introduce patterns to your little one:
