Babies Learning to Talk

During the first years of life, all babies have an amazing ability to learn language.  Take advantage of the biology of baby brains and talk and read often to your child.  The more you make direct eye contact, talk to and engage with your child, the happier and smarter he or she will be.  When you read or talk with your baby, it’s important to turn off the television. Research shows that when there's background noise, infants have a much harder time attending to conversations and so they learn less words.
