Books to talk about

Reading aloud to young children and having conversations about the books is widely recognized as the single most important activity leading to literacy development. Young children who are regularly read to have a larger vocabulary, higher levels of phonological, letter name, and sound awareness, and better success at decoding words. (Burgess, S. R., Hecht, S. A. , & Lonigan, C. J., 2002)
