Many families use books to address their young children’s concerns in a non-threatening and comfortable way. Whether you want to help your child make friends, cope with his fear of the dark, or adjust to school, books provide an opportunity to introduce important conversations. It is always easier to begin by discussing what a fictional character is doing or feeling; then you can invite your child to share his ideas and feelings.
