Temporary Downtown Branch Library Schedule

The Temporary Downtown Branch of the Dayton Metro Library, located at 120 S. Patterson Boulevard, will close at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, and remain closed until Monday, July 10, in order to move collections, equipment and office supplies into the new Main Library.

The Temporary Downtown Branch reopens with limited service Monday, July 10 through Wednesday, August 2. Public computer access will be available during this time, as well as pick up of reserved items, but no collections will be on site for check out. The drop box will continue to be available through August 4.

“Our patrons have become loyal visitors to our Temporary Downtown Branch Library, so the move to the new Main Library may be an inconvenience,” said Kimber Fox, Manager of the Main Library, “but it means we are that much closer to opening the wonderful new Main Library building, where we will more than exceed expectations.”

The new Main Library’s Grand Opening is Saturday, August 5, 12:00-5:00 p.m. and regular hours resume 1:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 6. The Operations Center where the Temporary Main Branch Library has been located, will no longer be open to the public.
