The traditional lullaby "Hush Little Baby" delights young children but it does involve a lot of shopping... Debi Gliori has created new lyrics that bring the same sweet comfort: "I'd wrap you safely in my wings and tell you tales of sleepy things." To build phonological awareness call attention to the words that rhyme. After a couple of re-readings, pause at the end of a sentence and wait to see if your child can complete it with the rhyming word.
