Beginning with "abuela" and ending with "z street", a boy and girl wander together through a barrio identifying aspects of the neighborhood. Use this book to teach your child the names and sounds of letters. Find the letter that starts his or her name and point out how both his or her name and the Spanish word "start with the same sound". Don't try to interest your child in every letter of the alphabet in one sitting. Select just a few letters to talk about and then move on to describing what you see in the pictures. |
